As we continue to scale, were now looking for Accountant - Travel & Expenses to help with day-to-day T&E accounting matters in different Wolt Countries. You will sit with the local country and finance team in Budapest but you work directly with the centralized Finance team in Helsinki HQ and other local teams in Wolt countries. What makes the Finance team so special is our ‘service first approach to the job - we enjoy creating strong communication loops with the wider business, so that bottlenecks are minimized and that things get done quickly and efficiently. Everybody is accountable for their own workload and takes pride in being meticulous and precise. We also enjoy learning and developing as we go - its important that you share this approach! : ) What youll be doing Ensuring the accuracy of Travel & Expense (T&E) claims. Maintaining and monitoring the accounts payable ledger with a focus on T&E-related transactions. Performing reconciliations of T&E accounts to ensure data integrity. Collaborating with various stakeholders and internal teams to resolve issues and improve processes. Participating in development projects aimed at improving T&E processes and systems. Handling ad hoc tasks related to T&E and your area of responsibility. Our humble expectations Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist, Accountant, or in a similar finance role. Solid understanding of T&E processes and AP/purchase invoice processing, including workflow systems. Minimum 2 years of relevant finance experience. Educational background in accounting or economics—Commercial or Vocational school preferred. Fluent in English, both spoken and written; additional languages are a plus. Strong customer service mindset with the ability to work collaboratively across teams. Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Prior experience with NetSuite is an advantage. Must be based in Budapest.
